Description:
Melrose Cottage is located on Station Road in Okehampton. At one end of the road lies Dartmoor, with access (about ten minutes walk away) for hiking, biking and exploring. At the other end of the road (about five minutes walk away) is the centre of Okehampton, boasting numerous pubs, coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, a cinema and other amenities.
Melrose Cottage itself is nestled away, set back from the road in a quiet location, with plentiful off-street parking. Secure bike storage is available.
Upstairs is an open-plan living space, with a stunning bright conservatory dining room, a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a living area to relax with a coffee and magazine or watch a bit of telly. A small balcony can be accessed from the living room. The entire space benefits from high ceilings and is awash with natural light.
Downstairs, you have a spacious king size master bedroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. There is a larger bathroom with a bath (including shower over the bath), in case you want to have a relaxing soak after your Devon adventures. There is also another, smaller bathroom with a shower.
Melrose Cottage is family friendly. For those with younger children, travel cots, high chairs, stair gate, and plastic cutlery and crockery can be provided.
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for dogs (although we do love them and have our own) – sorry about that.

- Master Bedroom – king size bed, two bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers

- Single Bedroom – single bed, suitable for an adult or a child (4+), chest of drawers
- Bathroom 1 – bath with shower over it, toilet, basin

- Travel cot beds and high chairs available for those with younger children.
- Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay
UPSTAIRS:
- Living Area – seating for six people on two three-seater sofas, coffee table, smart TV
- Wifi throughout
- Kitchen – hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, and filter coffee machine. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with the kitchen equipment you might need to self-cater on your trip.
- Dining room – 6 seater dining table in the stunning conservatory area.

- Parking – Off-road parking for two cars

Booking Information
BOOKING INFORMATION:
- Check in time is 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10am on the day of departure. We need this time to allow us to accommodate our cleaning requirements and guest changeovers.
- A security deposit of £175 is required. This will be debited from your payment card seven days prior to arrival. It will be refunded seven days after the end of your stay, provided that we have not contacted you regarding any damage to Melrose Cottage or its contents.
- COVID-19 – If you need to cancel your stay because of changes to legal travel restrictions due to COVID-19, we will give you a full refund if you notify us 24 hours or more before the check in time (subject to you providing evidence regarding the COVID-19 reason which is satisfactory to Melrose Cottage). If we are not allowed to host you because of COVID-19 restrictions, we will give you a full refund for the whole of your stay, or if only part of your stay is affected, for that part.
- If you need to cancel your stay for any other reason, we will give you a full refund if you cancel before 4pm on the date 28 days before your check in date. If you cancel in writing before 4pm on the date 21 days before your check in date, you will receive a refund save that your booking deposit will be retained. If you cancel in writing before 4pm on the date 7 days before your check in date, you will receive a 60% refund.

The cottage was beautiful and spacious. Easy check in, and so many lovely welcoming treats - scones, jam, clotted cream, milk, fresh fruit!!
